Bio

Sergey Bryukhanov is a Russian abstract painter born on August 28, 1959 in Kopeysk, Chelyabinsk region. Since 2006 he lives in Moscow and works mainly with oil painting and collage technique. Sergey aims to transmit light through the combination of colours and textures. He is referred to the number of artists “whose work has defined a range of artistic and aesthetic pursuit of the second half of the twentieth century in Russia.” He spent more than thirty solo exhibitions and participated in dozens of other exhibition projects, also as a curator. Sergey Brukhanov’s works are in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation and many other museums and art institutions;
Hundreds of works are located in private collections in Russia, USA, UK, France, Germany, Spain, Austria and Finland. His biography is included in the “2000 Outstanding Artists and designers of the XX century” publication.
