Arthur Yang is one of those artists who constantly change the direction of their artistic search. His works are notable for decorative and easy charm of “frenchiness”.
Born in 1959 in the People’s Republic of China. He grew up in the city of Yerevan, Armenia.
During 1974-1978 Yang studied at Abramtsevo Art and Industrial College of Vasnetsov;
From 1982 to 1987 he studied in Moscow State University of Printing Arts;
During 1996-1998 he worked in the «Contrepoint» engraving workshop in Paris.
In 1998 Artur started a project «Jam Painting» with the participation of artists working in different styles and techniques.
Yang is a member of the Russian Union of Artists (1988), the International Art Fund (1989), the Union of artists in Paris (1998).
In 2005 he became the curator of the Biennale of contemporary graphics, Novosibirsk, Russia.
Yang is an independent artist. Since 1999, he lives and works in Paris.
He is a member of numerous solo and collective exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
